Say Goodbey to N95 Red Light Indication While vid/pic

OK, That red light that shone so bightly when recording video HAD to
go, it was this shining bright red thing that simply made shooting many
things in low-light nearly impossible.


DISCLAIMER: This
is a DESTRUCTIVE hack for the CLASSIC only (not the 8GB version) , Your flash
light will still function as intended once this is performed even
though it's inside the same light unit.

Original hack for permanent effect.


You WILL void your warrany by performing this, you could foul up your phone, and I take NO resposibility.

OK, Getting it open, You need NO tools, just a SHARP razor-knife and a steady hand/sight.


REMOVE battery and battery cover and put aside.

REMOVE microSD memorycard and put aside.

Slide phone slider upwards.

Shown in the picture, unclimp the rear cover from the front by going from bottom to top.
Do this slowly, The back cover is secured only by it "clipping on" and also by small adhesive parts.

Now carefully hinge it off and place it aside, ensuring you do not touch the adhesive.

Now
you need to locate the actual conduct on the Mylar that you wish to
cut... You must do this is the position shown as there are small
components nearby.

Make one small cut in the area shown in the
flex cable, then power up the phone and select videomode, and check the
light has extinguished. if not, make another cut along the same cut
until the light vanishes.

I have made a better diagram to ensure you do not cut the wrong track!
